About Nodl

Our Goal

We've experienced how creating visuals using other services like TouchDesigner can be complex and requires a steep learning curve. Nodl streamlines precision visual creation, specifically targeting artists and VFX professionals who need high-performance, accessible software without the overhead of traditional desktop suites.

Our Team

We are a group of 4 students aiming to make Nodl a reference for real-time procedural graphics on the web. Born from our love of 3D and live performance scenery, this project is designed to put powerful creative tools in the hands of everyone.

Nodl is a visual node editor for creating real-time 2D and 3D graphics in your browser. Connect nodes to build effects, procedural scenes and visuals for live performances.

You can start by connecting nodes or opening a ready-to-use template. The visual workflow lets you explore effects and adjust their properties without writing code.

Nodl supports real-time collaboration on shared projects. You can also discover community projects and publish your creations in the marketplace.

Nodl lets you create procedural 2D and 3D visuals in your browser, start from templates and share projects. TouchDesigner is a Windows/macOS application focused on interactive installations, projections and live visuals. Choose Nodl to explore and create on the web; for an installation with specific inputs, outputs or hardware, check the integrations offered by TouchDesigner.

TouchDesigner

Both tools use nodes, but serve different needs. Nodl focuses on real-time procedural visuals and shared projects on the web. Nuke focuses on compositing and post-production: combining shots, keying, rotoscoping and 2D/3D compositing. Nodl therefore does not replace every feature of a studio VFX pipeline.
